Hey I'm Darick, but I game under the tag CHARM3R.
I love to play games. All games. Video games, board games, card games, and even sports. I've had this love of games for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are learning how to count from my grandparents, and they taught me through playing Euchre. Most of my youth was spent trying to get people to play card games, board games, or video games with me. As an adult, the first job I held for a length of time was working in a comic & gaming shop. I ran tournaments, traveled to conventions, and was in charge of purchasing/trading for the store. Gaming has always been my hobby of choice, and that still holds true today. As a result, I now spend my free time creating "gaming content." I stream games on Twitch, and I create videos centered around games for YouTube.
I've played just about every game genre on stream. I've played MOBAs, card games, single player RPGs, MMORPGs, FPS, "indie" games, platformers, battle royale, horror, and probably some others I'm forgetting. What does Rocket League count as? I suppose it doesn't matter. The point is I like to try new things. That being said, I definitely have a preference for card games. They will likely be heavily featured on my channel, even if I do play other things from time to time. On stream, I've played Hearthstone, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, Eternal, and Gwent. Off stream, I've played so many I'm embarrassed to list them all.
Though I love streaming and making video content, it is not my day job. It's not even my night job. I have a bachelor's degree in database management, and a master's degree in technology management. During the day, I work in data governance. At night, I teach programming for a local college. When you combine the two jobs with a family and other responsibilities, it impacts my ability to make content from time to time. Consider this an apology in advance.
So what does this all mean for you as a viewer? I have no idea. I just felt obliged to provide some sort of background on me. If you've made it this far, may the Gods bless you. I just hope this didn't bore you too much. I also hope you swing by the stream sometime, or say hello in a YouTube comment.
